VersoScan Privacy Policy

VersoScan is a provisional product name, pending trademark clearance. This policy applies to the app regardless of its final published name.

VersoScan (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a document scanning and on-device translation app operated by FineCore. The app is built to need as little of your data as possible: there is no account, no server, and no analytics or advertising SDKs.

Information we do not collect

• No account or sign-in is required to use the app.
• We do not operate a server, and the app does not send your documents, scans, or translations to us or to any third party.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.

How your documents are handled

• Scanning and OCR run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework.
• Translation runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Translation framework. Documents and their contents are never uploaded anywhere to be translated.
• Storage — your scanned documents are stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, your documents are stored in your own private iCloud account (Apple's infrastructure, under your Apple ID), not on any server we operate or can access.
• App lock — if you enable Face ID or a passcode to lock the app, that check is performed locally by iOS; we never receive your biometric data or passcode.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not operate a payment server and do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit APIs.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, because we do not collect it in the first place. The app has no analytics, advertising, or data-broker integrations.

Your choices

• You can use the app without ever enabling iCloud sync, in which case nothing leaves your device.
• You can delete any document at any time from within the app.
• Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. If iCloud sync was enabled, you can also remove the app's data from iCloud through your device's Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Machine translation disclaimer

Translations produced by the app are machine-generated, for understanding only, and are not a certified translation. Documents requiring official or certified translation (legal, medical, immigration, or government use) should be translated by a certified human translator.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children, consistent with the fact that it does not collect personal information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.
