Stillfern Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Stillfern (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a focus timer for iPhone and Apple Watch,
operated by FineCore. It is built to need as little of your data as possible: there is no account, no server, and no
analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information we do not collect
- No account or sign-in is required to use the app.
- We do not operate a server. Your focus sessions, plants, tags, phrases and favorites are never sent to us or to
any third party.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
How your data is handled
- Storage: your session history and settings are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is turned on
for Stillfern, they are also kept in your own private iCloud account (Apple's infrastructure, under your Apple
Account), not on any server we operate or can access.
- Apple Watch: the Apple Watch app talks directly to Stillfern on your iPhone. It does not store
your history and sends nothing to us.
- Notifications: reminders such as “come back” and “grown” are scheduled
locally on your device. We do not use push notifications or a notification server.
- Lock Screen and widgets: the Live Activity and widgets show information from the app on your
device only.
- Strict sessions: to tell locking your iPhone apart from leaving the app, Stillfern uses
on-device system signals while a session runs. It does not see or record which other apps you use.
- Export: if you export your history as a CSV file, the file goes only where you choose to save
or share it.
Purchases
The Full Catalog purchase is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not operate a payment server and do not
receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is checked on your device through Apple's StoreKit APIs.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, because we do not collect it in the first
place.
Your choices
- You can use Stillfern without iCloud, in which case your history stays on your iPhone only.
- You can turn notifications and Live Activities off at any time in the iOS Settings app.
- Deleting the app removes the data stored on your iPhone. If iCloud was turned on, you can also remove the
app's data from iCloud in the Settings app: tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children, consistent with the
fact that it does not collect personal information from any user.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, note
them in the app's release notes.
